My name is Jennifer. I’m a journalist.

Until January 2010, I was top banana of The Silver Spring (Md.) Penguin, a hyperlocal news website. And by top banana, I mean: reporter, editor, researcher, producer, code hacker, publicist, and ad salesperson. Now I’m unemployed.

I learned a lot as The Penguin’s top banana, but I still have a lot more to learn. This blog shares what I know, explores what I don’t know, and takes a stab at theories that may or may not work.
